TOKUSHU TOKAI PAPER CO., LTD.
Representative Chairman
Yuji Matsuda

I am Yuji Matsuda, Chairman of the Board and Representative Director.

Under the business philosophy of "Unique paper maker with high uniqueness and originality," the Tokushu Tokai Paper Group has been providing various value for social and cultural development and solving environmental problems through paper, a natural resource, from the past to the present. In the Environment Related Business, which we are devoting management resources to as a growth area, we will pursue businesses that are unique to the Tokushu Tokai Paper Group while staying close to customers and social issues, thereby contributing to a sustainable society and achieving significant growth through paper manufacturing and the environment.

In order to bring the growth story to fruition, the entire group, including the business portfolio, must undergo major changes. As a first step to accelerate the transformation, the CEO baton was handed over to the new President Kimura at the General Meeting of Shareholders in June 2025. Under the new management structure, we will differentiate ourselves in all areas of corporate activities, including material procurement, development, manufacturing, quality control, product lines, sales, and after-sales services, and by combining these differentiation efforts, we aim to build a unique business that only the Tokushu Tokai Paper Group can offer.

Led by new President Kimura, all group employees will work together to further enhance corporate value, and we would like to ask for the continued support of all stakeholders.

Takashi Kimura

I am Takashi Kimura, President & Chief Executive Officer of Tokushu Tokai Paper.

The Tokushu Tokai Paper Group is now entering a period of significant transformation. We are turning social and environmental challenges, such as resource depletion and climate change, into business opportunities and evolving from being “just a paper company” into a “solutions partner for social and environmental issues” that is indispensable to the development of a circular society. This is the direction set out in Vision 2035, our long-term plan.

The first three years of Vision 2035 — our 7th Medium-Term Management Plan (April 2026 – March 2029) — are positioned as a period for building a solid foundation so that we can seize growth opportunities more reliably and swiftly. However, this period will not simply be about laying the groundwork. It will be a period in which we will sow the seeds for genuine growth while simultaneously strengthening the core businesses we have built up over the years—a period of advancing future-oriented preparation and bringing our existing strengths to fruition in parallel.

At the core of our medium- to long-term strategy are the two businesses we have advanced in tandem: our paper manufacturing business and our environment-related business. However, to achieve genuine growth, it is essential that we “change the present and evolve.” Our Vision 2035 slogan, “Creating, Once Again. Toward the Future,” embodies our determination to leverage our unique identity as both a manufacturer and a recycler, break free from conventional thinking, and create new value for the future. To evolve from a company that is “nice to have” into one that is truly indispensable, we will continue to take on bold challenges with ideas and execution that go beyond any extension of the past.
